What is Reiki? (pronounced Ray-Key) Reiki is a method of natural energy healing based on the use of Universal Life Energy. It is channeled through the practitioner’s hand to the patient. It was rediscovered by Dr Usai in the 19th century.
What can Reiki do for you? Reiki works on every level – not just the physical. It brings deep relaxation, soothes emotions and reduces negative feelings. Reiki can help you be the best that you can be and brings clarity, focus and a sense of purpose back into your life. One treatment is physiologically the equivalent of 3 to 4 hours’ deep sleep. It helps you to find true peace of mind and brings positivity to help you cope with life’s daily challenges.
What happens during a Reiki session? The Reiki practitioner places his/her hands very lightly on the body in a series of positions. The patient is normally laying down and remains fully clothed throughout the session. The whole treatment usually lasts between 45 and 90 minutes depending on the client’s needs.
How does a Reiki treatment feel? Everyone experiences Reiki differently although feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. Some feel a tingling or a warm sensation whilst others find themselves in a deep meditative state and drift off to sleep. Others feel rejuvenated and energised.
Is Reiki suitable for everyone? Reiki is totally safe and suitable for everyone – children, adults and animals.
DISTANT HEALING Reiki is equally effective and powerful when given at a distance.
